Synopsis
A weak front will fall apart over The Straits of Florida today. A sprawling high pressure cell will extend from New England to the Gulf of Mexico tonight through Thursday night. A low pressure area then will develop from the northeastern Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic north of the Bahamas Friday through Saturday. Another high pressure cell will move across the eastern United Saturday night through Sunday night. The approximate shoreward edge of the Gulf Stream as of April 14... 66 nm south of Dry Tortugas light...on Loggerhead Key. 17 nm south of Cosgrove Shoal light...off the Marquesas Keys. 2 nm south of Sand Key light...off Key West. 1 nm south of Looe Key...off Big Pine Key. 1 nm south of Sombrero Key light...off Marathon. 3 nm southeast of Alligator Reef light...off Islamorada. 8 nm southeast of Molasses Reef light...off Key Largo. 5 nm east of Carysfort Reef light...off Ocean Reef.
