...Small Craft Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Monday...

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a Small Craft Advisory...which is in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Monday.

* Winds...southwest winds 10 to 15 knots early this evening will become northwest and increase to 20 to 30 knots after midnight. A few gusts to gale force will be possible. Winds will begin to ease around midday Monday.

* Seas...seas will increase to 3 to 5 feet in protected waters...and as high as 5 to 8 feet...with occasional seas to 10 feet...in the open waters.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft. Inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
