Thursday
Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 28 knots. Snow showers in the morning...then scattered snow showers in the afternoon. Freezing spray. Waves subsiding to 4 to 7 feet.
Thursday Night
West winds 10 to 20 knots backing southwest 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow showers. Waves subsiding to calm to 2 feet.
Friday
South winds 10 to 15 knots. Cloudy. A chance of snow in the morning...then snow likely in the afternoon. Waves building to 1 to 3 feet...then subsiding to calm to 2 feet.

* Wind and waves during the small craft advisory: expect sustained winds of up to 26 knots from the north...with gusts up to 34 knots. The largest expected significant waves will be 11 feet with a maximum wave height of up to 16 feet possible.

* Timing: the maximum winds are expected around 12 am EST Thursday with the largest waves expected around 3 am EST Thursday.
