... Ash being resuspended from the 1912 eruption of katmai
Volcano...

North to northwest winds 40 to 55 mph are causing ash from the
1912 eruption of katmai Volcano to blow across Shelikof Strait
and onto parts of Kodiak Island. This will continue through
this morning. Communities along Shelikof Strait are the most
likely to be affected... but some ash will make it to parts of the
eastern side of the island as well. The biggest impacts will be
reduced visibilities and poor air quality. Those who are more
sensitive to poor air quality should exercise caution and consider
staying indoors.
