* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... southern Crittenden County in eastern Arkansas... Lee County in eastern Arkansas... northern Phillips County in eastern Arkansas... southeastern St. Francis County in eastern Arkansas... Tunica County in northwest Mississippi...

* until 600 PM CDT

* at 514 PM CDT...National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm producing quarter size hail...and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located near Rondo...or 6 miles northeast of Marvell...and moving northeast at 50 mph.

* Locations in the warning include but are not limited to Helena... Hughes...Marianna...Marvell...West Helena and St Francis National Park.

This warning also includes areas near Horseshoe Lake...Midway Lake and Wapanocca Lake.

...Transmission interruptions will be possible through this evening on Oxford NOAA Weather Radio...

There may be interruptions in weather radio broadcasts through this evening on NOAA Weather Radio kih 52 out of Oxford Mississippi. This may impact the broadcast of severe weather watches and warnings as well as regular broadcasts this afternoon and evening. Technicians are currently en Route to the transmitter site and will be working to correct the problem as quickly as possible.

Please plan now for the possibility of broadcast interruptions and plan to utilize additional resources such as local television and radio broadcasts...internet resources including the Memphis National Weather Service homepage...and cell phone hazard warning notification services. We hope to restore uninterrupted service and normal broadcasts as soon as possible and apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
