Coconino Plateau Severe Watches & Warnings NOAA Weather Radio

Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 1:07 AM MDT on July 02, 2015

... The Flood Advisory remains in effect until 145 am MST for southern
Coconino and northeastern Yavapai counties...

At 1256 am MST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has shifted west
of Oak Creek Canyon. However... heavy rain that fell between 11 PM
and 12 am MST will continue to bring the threat of minor flooding
along West Fork of Oak Creek through 145 am MST.

Some locations that could experience flooding include... Sterling
Fish Hatchery... West Fork of Oak Creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

Heavy rainfall over the West Fork of Oak Creek drainage will caused
elevated rises on this waterway. Move to higher ground immediately.
Areas in the main portion of Oak Creek Canyon are not expected to
observe significant impacts from this event.
