... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Wednesday afternoon
through Thursday morning...
* snow accumulations... total snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3
inches will be possible at 4000 feet... with 12 to 18 inches of
snowfall above 7000 feet.
* Snow levels... snow levels will start off Wednesday morning
around 6000 feet... then lower to between 3500 to 4000 feet by
late Wednesday afternoon or early evening.
* Winds... southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with occasional gusts to
35 mph. These winds will produce localized areas of blowing
snow.
* Impacts... snowfall in lower elevations will cause icy and
slick roadways... resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow accumulations that may seriously impact travel. Gusty winds
and blowing snow is also possible. Those planning travel into the
watch area should prepare for difficult winter driving
conditions.
