Weather Summary
Weather Underground Forecast for Saturday, May 25, 2013.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop again across the Northern and Central Plains on Saturday as a low pressure system continues moving eastward across the center of the nation. The system will continue pulling moisture and energy northward from the Gulf of Mexico, bringing showers and thunderstorms to the region from the Northern High Plains into the Mid-Mississippi River Valley. There is a chance that these storms will turn severe across eastern Montana and western North and South Dakotas and western Nebraska. Large hail, damaging winds, and periods of heavy rainfall are likely in these areas, with possibly a few tornadoes. This system will move relativity slowly, thus, expect flooding concerns to increase over the region.

To the south, onshore flow will persist for Texas, maintaining showers and thunderstorms throughout the state on Saturday. Severe storms are not anticipated, but heavy rainfall and problems with flooding may persist for the region. In the East, showery weather will continue for the Northeast on Saturday as a low pressure system lingers over the region. Strong and gusty winds will also continue as this system slowly moves offshore. Out West, another disturbance brings more rain to Washington and Oregon Saturday night into Sunday. High pressure dominating across California and the Desert Southwest will keep most of this moisture away to the north. Thus, expect another sunny and dry day for the rest of the West Coast.
