Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 4:00 PM PDT on July 05, 2015

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
northeastern San Bernardino County in Southern California...

* until 700 PM PDT

* at 358 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms over the Mojave National preserve. This will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. Storms are forming along an
outflow boundary which is moving south through The Preserve.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cima... Mitchell caverns... Black Canyon equestrian
campground... Hole In the Wall campground and mid hills
campground... Morningstar mine Rd... Ivanpah Road.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of
swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
