March was warmer than normal... the 31st warmest record since 1871. March
was a dry month... total precipitation was 1.66 inches below normal.

At Jacksonville International Airport...

Temperatures... the average temperature for March was 65.3
degrees... 3.6 degrees above normal. The average daily high was 76.5
degrees and the average daily low was 54.1 degrees. The maximum
temperature for the month was 88 degrees on the 17th and the minimum
for the month was 38 degrees on the 8th. A record daily high
temperature of 88 degrees was set on the 17th which tied the old
record set in 2002.

Rainfall... there were 10 days of measurable rainfall in March at
Jacksonville International Airport. Monthly rainfall totaled 2.29
inches... 1.66 inches below normal. The greatest 24 hour total was
0.53 inches on the 26th. No precipitation records were set in the
month of March.

Wind... the average wind speed for March was 7.2 miles per hour. The
peak wind gust for the month was 39 miles per hour from the west on
the 5th.
