heavy rainfall shifting south toward Lake Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast... At 230 am...Doppler radar showed a band of heavy rain showers and a few embedded storms across central and southern Brevard County...and extending southwest to Blue Cypress Lake...Yeehaw Junction...Fort Drum and Basinger. This band was moving east at about 30 mph and will cross southeast Brevard...Indian River...and Okeechobee counties... and then move into western Saint Lucie and Martin counties between 330 and 400 am. Rainfall amounts will generally be between one half and one inch...with some spots picking up a little more than an inch in a 60 to 90 minute period. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph will also be possible as this activity continues to push eastward and offshore into the Atlantic during the early morning hours.
