Wind Advisory
Statement as of 9:48 PM EST on February 09, 2010
... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9 am to 6 PM EST
Wednesday...
A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9 am to 6 PM EST
Wednesday.
As low pressure deepens off the mid Atlantic coast... strong westerly
winds will impact southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia
Wednesday. West winds are expected to increase to 20 to 30 mph by
mid morning Wednesday... and strong winds will persist through the
afternoon. Gusts as high as 45 mph are also possible. Winds may be
even stronger on elevated bridges and overpasses.
Winds should diminish after sunset Wednesday.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution... especially on bridges and
overpasses.
