Now
At 110 am HST...radar showed showers...some with locally heavy rainfall...forming along the windward sections of Oahu from Waimanalo to Kahuku. Motorists should use extra caution while driving through these showers due to local ponding of water on roadways and reduced visibilities. These showers are expected to continue at least through 230 am HST this morning.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Kahoolawe... Kauai... Lanai... Maui... Molokai... Niihau and Oahu.
* Through late tonight.
* An upper level low northwest of Kauai will continue to destabilize the airmass over the islands west of The Big Island through tonight. Recent rains have saturated soils on Kauai and Oahu... and if heavy rain develops overnight... flash flooding could rapidly develop.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. When it occurs... flash flooding kills many people every year.
Please monitor later updates on the situation... and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
This watch will be updated by 400 am HST Sunday... or sooner if necessary.
