... Winter Storm Warning is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and sleet... which is in effect until 6
PM CST Tuesday. The Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled.

* Short term trends... a mixture of rain... sleet and snow is
expected into this afternoon as a broad area of precipitation
moves across central Iowa. The precipitation intensity is
expected to diminish toward sunset.

* Storm total snow/ice accumulations... one to three inches of snow
remain possible with little additional ice accumulations.

* Winds/visibility... initially east at 10 to 15 mph... becoming
southwest 10 to 20 mph tonight.

* Impacts... the wintry precipitation will lead to hazardous
travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
