...Strong gusty winds expected behind a cold front today...

A cold front will move quickly southeast across our region this morning. As the front passes...winds will turn into the west and increase to around 20 mph. There may be a few wind gusts from 35 to 40 mph for a few hours after the frontal passage. The strongest winds will be along and north of the Interstate 64 corridor in southwest Indiana and southern Illinois.

If you are out and about today...be aware of the potential for wind blown objects in roadways...such as trash cans or loose objects. Vehicles may be difficult to handle.
