Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 4:28 AM CDT on May 23, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from 1 PM CDT this
afternoon through Sunday afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Kansas and south central Kansas...
including the following areas... in central Kansas... Chase and
Marion. In south central Kansas... Butler... Cowley... Harvey...
Sedgwick and Sumner.

* From 1 PM CDT this afternoon through Sunday afternoon.

* Showers and storms will increase in coverage this afternoon...
and continue into Sunday morning. One to three inches of rain
are anticipated... which would likely lead to flooding.

* Those with outdoor plans along creeks and streams need to
monitor the weather situation this weekend.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Remember to turn around... don't drown.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
