Snow...mainly in the afternoon. Snow may be heavy at times in the afternoon. Snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches. Blustery with highs in the upper 20s. Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph in the afternoon. Chance of snow 90 percent.
Cloudy. Snow likely in the evening...then scattered snow showers after midnight. Total snow accumulation of 6 to 12 inches possible. Brisk with lows around 18. North winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 5 am Wednesday to 1 am EST Thursday.
Snowfall accumulation of 6 to 12 inches is expected across the central Catskills... Mid Hudson valley of Greene and Columbia counties... the central Taconics... and the Berkshires... with the potential for locally higher amounts.
Snow will spread from southwest to northeast across the warned area... beginning just prior to daybreak on Wednesday. The snow will become moderate to heavy in intensity by the late morning hours... with snowfall rates at times around one inch per hour. Localized bands of intense snowfall rates up to three inches per hour are possible... especially across northern Litchfield County which could produce well over a foot.
Heavy snow will lead to hazardous travel... especially during the afternoon and evening commute. The steady snow will taper to snow showers and flurries by the late evening... ending from west to east. In addition... northerly winds up to 25 mph may allow for some blowing and drifting of snow as well.
The winter weather is due to a rapidly developing storm off the coast of Virginia tonight. The storm will move northeast during the day on Wednesday... moving well south of Long Island and Cape Cod by Wednesday evening.
