... Straight line wind damage confirmed in Gladwin County...

A National Weather Service storm survey crew visited multiple
areas of reported wind damage in Gladwin County today. In all
cases... the wind damage examined was straight-line in nature. In
most locations... the damage was consistent with peak wind gusts
of 55 to 65 mph. In a few isolated locations near Beaverton... peak
wind speeds were estimated between 75 and 80 mph.
