Special Statement
Statement as of 2:42 PM EDT on April 21, 2015

... Increased fire danger across portions of eastern North Carolina
Wednesday...

Gusty west to southwest winds and low relative humidity will
combine for an increased fire danger Wednesday. Sustained winds 15
to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph, along with relative humidity
between 25 to 30 percent will contribute to the fire danger threat
during the afternoon.

Residents are urged to avoid outdoor burning Wednesday, especially
during the afternoon.
