* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Eddy County in southeast New Mexico...

* until 500 am MDT

* at 1253 am MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar detected
scattered thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall across the Eddy
County plains. This includes the city of Carlsbad.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Additional rainfall is expected which could increase the potential
for flooding in the warned area.

Flash flooding of creeks and streams... streets and underpasses... low
water crossings... and low lying farmland is likely. Do not drive
across flooded roads.

* amounts... amounts of 1 to 3 inches possible... higher local
amounts to 4 inches.

* Rapid runoff from heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding
of flood prone and urban areas.
