... Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 PM
The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Wind
Chill Advisory... which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to
6 PM CST Friday.
* Wind and visibility... northwest winds will average 10 to 15 mph
tonight... and about 10 to 20 mph on Friday.
* Wind chill values... wind chill values will fall into the 20
below to 25 degrees below zero range tonight... then slowly
modify through the day on Friday.
A Wind Chill Advisory is issued when a strong wind will combine
with cold temperatures to create dangerously cold conditions for
exposed skin. The wind will make it feel like it is 20 degrees
below zero or colder for a period of several hours. Those
planning to venture outdoors should dress warmly... making sure
that all exposed skin is covered.

... Record daily maximum snowfall set at Huron SD...
Through 6 PM CST... the daily snowfall total at Huron South Dakota
was 3.0 inches. This broke the previous record of 2.9 inches... set
With a little more snow still in the forecast for this evening...
this total is likely to be greater by the end of the day. A final
daily snowfall total for the 4th of December will be sent after 12
