This Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for northern parts of the Cumberland Plateau... and extreme northeast Tennessee including the Tri Cities area.
* Timing: snow showers will persist overnight... then increase Wednesday morning and continue through Wednesday afternoon.
* Accumulations: snow amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected overnight... with an additional 1 to 2 inches expected on Wednesday. Total snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is expected through Wednesday evening.
* Impacts: snow may accumulate on the roads making travel difficult. Blowing snow due to strong winds may reduce visibilities to a quarter mile or less in the heavier snow showers.
