... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM CDT this
Evening...
... Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 10 am to 7 PM CDT Monday...

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a lake Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 10 am to 7 PM CDT Monday.

* Event... a tight pressure gradient between surface high pressure
to the east and surface low pressure across the Southern Plains
along a dry line will produce south winds of 15 to 20 mph with
higher gusts to 30 mph. This low will move into west and
northwest Texas Monday and continue to produce south winds of
15 to 20 mph with gusts to near 30 mph.

* Timing... strong and gusty winds through the afternoon and into
the early evening today and from the mid morning to early
evening Monday. Winds will be diminishing after sunset to 10
to 15 mph.

* Impact... strong winds will produce a rough chop and
potentially hazardous boating conditions on area lakes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be prone to capsizing.
