... Waco climate narrative for November 2009...

October was among the coolest... wettest... and cloudiest. November
could not have been more different. With abundant sunshine... the
average high for the month was 3.8 degrees above normal. The final
day of the month was the only day with a high temperature below 60
degrees.

After two months of copious rainfall... November totals were below
normal across nearly all of central Texas. Portions of western North
Texas saw no rainfall the entire month.

Significant long-term precipitation deficits continue in areas
southeast of Waco... particularly Leon County... where year-to-date
deficits are as much as 12 inches. On the other side of the Coin...
areas from Goldthwaite to Hamilton have seen near 40 inches of rain
this year... as much as 15 inches above normal.
