Statement as of 3:58 AM EST on December 02, 2008 ... Icy spots across the region this morning... Light snow showers or flurries will continue off and on through 7 am. Although only light accumulations are expected at best... icy spots will likely develop along area roadways with temperatures around freezing causing leftover water to refreeze. Bridges and overpasses will be most susceptible to black ice especially where an additional light coating of snow may exist. Motorists should be alert for icy patches and use extreme caution if planning to travel this morning.
