A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am EST Thursday.
* Mainly light snow is expected overnight.
* Up to 2 inches of snow is expected into tonight. Some of the advisory may need to be upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning for upslope snow showers that will develop Wednesday lasting into Thursday morning. Several inches of snow may accumulate along the highest elevations.
* Strong gusty winds later tonight will also produce blowing snow and wind chills around zero... especially at higher elevations.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

A High Wind Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST Thursday.
* Sustained northwest winds will increase to between 25 and 40 mph late tonight with gusts from 60 to 70 mph especially across the highest ridges. Strong winds will remain through Wednesday night.
* Winds of this strength alone can knock down trees. However snow accumulating on trees through Wednesday night will make this occurrence even more likely. Also... these winds can down power lines and damage structures.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph are likely to cause sporadic power outages... fallen trees... minor property damage... and dangerous driving conditions for high profile vehicles. Residents should move unfastened items... such as garbage cans and deck furniture... indoors.
