However...lingering moisture on area roadways may freeze...creating areas of black ice. Motorists are advised to drive with caution this morning.

Increasing cloudiness with rain showers after midnight. Lows in the lower to mid 30s. South winds 10 mph or less. Chance of rain 80 percent.

Rain showers and snow showers likely in the morning... then a slight chance of rain showers and snow showers in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 60 percent.
Temperatures are expected to fall below freezing this morning across most of the southern appalachian region. With some moisture lingering on area roadways from yesterday's precipitation... some areas of black ice will be possible... especially on bridges and overpasses. Motorists are advised to exercise caution this morning when venturing out on the roadways.
