Looks like you can keep your snow cover going for a while more now after a close call on losing it...there should be plenty more winter left for you. I've only measured 33" here this winter, far below the almost 80" I had by this time a year ago. We've had bare ground here for quite a while now. Mountain snows have been great, though! The Pacific storms keep on coming, but they drop the snow in the mountains and we just get dry downslope winds in Denver. That usually changes in March when the spring storm systems tend to set up in southeast Colorado and pull Gulf moisture upslope into the Front Range...then we get heavy, wet snows.
Enjoy your snow and have a great weekend :-)

Hope you're having a good weekend. Yesterday was gorgeous here but it's a bit grey this morning.
The bedding plants have arrived! I've got my tomatoes, some pansies and a couple of other things. Will need to do some yard work this afternoon!
I had this on my to do list yesterday, but it kind of got lost in translation.
Looks like you have a good shot at breaking your 2/27 daily snowfall record...

LOL there's not a lot of snow left here in Ellsworth. I think yesterday took care of that! What a nice day it was...I actually had my windows open for an hour or so just to let the fresh air in. It's mostly bare ground which is nice I can actually walk in my driveway w/o the fear of falling. Looks like a wintry mix coming later this evening but nothing to worry about.
Hope you just get snow and not ice...have a great day :-)
I saw your location changed over to a light snow/freezing rain mix.
Did you get the 3.5" before that happened?

Hurry Close the door.
Glad you picked up a good snow...if March is a productive month you have a decent chance of a 100" season. The snow cover depends on not having a sudden heat wave or a warm storm with lots of rain.
We had 61 consecutive days with snow cover in Denver a year ago, and I measured 84" for the season at our house, with a peak depth of 24" on December 21, 2006. This winter I'm at only 33.6" for the season so far. Denver did have snow on the ground from December 8 through January 8 (32 days), since we had much of our snow in December. The biggest storm down here was the 8" on Christmas. Since early January, the ground has mostly been bare in Denver. But we could boost our seasonal snow total rapidly if we have a stormy March (and April).

I just stopped in to say hi and see what state of frozen you were in. BRRR you have got to be ready for things to thaw out and warm up. The picture of the basketball hoop says cold and miserable to me LOL.
It is 55 degrees at my house this morning. We are expecting a return to the 30's Sat and Sun but I got to enjoy some very spring like days around 80 degrees and blue skies so I can't complain. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Good Heavy rain last night the last I can remember we were well into about 3 hours of it. WOOHOO!

Another storm this weekend! Looks like a mixture of all sorts of stuff, typical March.
No, what you describe is far more than miserable to a southerner. It would be sheer torture and probably not survivable! Daytime highs in the 50's are miserable to me.
