Today we are having a very important Pre - Season Hurricane Party @ the infamous Harry T's on the beautiful Destin Harbor.
Should be about a dozen of us including some of the original WUBA's.

Glad u guys r having a good time, and since it is rainy here, I concede our sand would not have been as enjoyable AT THIS TIME.... lol

I had to sneak in and out or I might have been overcome by WU women.
Actually we were in Pensacola for a very short time. More time was spent in Orlando. Will let you know if I am there longer in the future.
Regarding the question........ well that's a tough one. Although we no longer have gators down here, I'm quite a bit more leery of them.
Sharks have scared the hell out of us on occasion, but fortunately, we appeared too big to eat. I would suggest a third contender -- barracuda. Mr. Barra really concerns me, as barra almost always appears from under or behind a swimmer and poof! is just suddenly there. They hit on flashes of light (jewelry, sunlight off a mask, for example), and really, they just seem to have a bad attitude. I mean........ they don't listen to reason at ALL, and appear fearless no matter HOW MUCH you scream and flail and.........
blah blah blah ...................................... ............................ ............... .............

Gators also may be killed, but you have to have permits & license from the state.
Wish they'd kill more of them, seems like there are more and more of those ugly, dinosaur, dragon lokkin creatures roaming around!
I know I'd rather go be Shark
Than gator, that death roll & dance under water sounds too frightening for me! Death by shark seems much more honorable! ROFL

Barracudas - yep, they freak me out! Being underwater with heavy dive equipment on &. Barracuda staring at you is not my idea of fun!!

If that is my choice then I would choose the shark. Let me bleed to death in the ocean. Much more peaceful I think then in gator habitat.
Gators and sharks. lol Sounds like you guys had a great time.
Hope it's okay to add a little contribution to the salute. If you look real close you can see the hemlines of the lime green and fuchsia flapper outfits Daisy and Booby wore that day. I don't guess they would want me to post the photos that show the dresses, but this is probably safe. I've posted this photo every year since the 2006 salute. This seems like a good moment to post it for 2012.

Hopefully I would drown and it would end sooner.
Or Shark would inflict a more severe wound that brings a quicker end.
But then there is the question of massive Gator and nuisance Shark. and visa versa.
So then its Great White or Betty Whites Pet,as opposed to aww look at the little boot material and the stop nibbling at my extremities breakfast fare shark.
But Spathy wont get into the weeds of the question.
So its Shark attack and hopefully lots of the toothy critters at once.
Mind you I have been on a scuba shark feed in Australia.

Okay, I for whatever possible reason, I had to choose:
Gator.
There's a much greater chance of someone avenging me!
The thoughts of one of those disgusting creatures rolling me around on the bottom in the mud freaks me out. I am convinced that they roll you over just to tease you & torture you, then then slowly eat you after they have watched you die a slow & painful death.
Give me DEATH BY SHARK - I'd much rather know I was a part of the food chain of the sea rather than reptiles! LOL

I'm not gonna worry about it. I strongly dislike both sharks and gators...except to eat.
I've done plenty of exciting and dangerous things in my life. I'm pretty sure that when or if I die, it will be from something mundane and boring.
Neither one is that good to eat in my opinion. Too many other foods that I do enjoy - and every time I bite into Gator I can see one of those creepy monsters in my imagination, it dulls the appetite! LOL
Shark meat can be prepared in such a way that it is decent eats, but again, the fact that they urinate through their skin kinda dulls the appetite.
Can you say "YUK"????

Gators are so damned ugly and the thoughts of doing the death roll with one of those prehistoric creatures doesn't appeal to me.
At least with a shark I'll be in the salty water, which is where I'm gonna end up one day any way.... LoL
I also think shark death would be quicker & less terrifying!
