Gardening in the clean up mode, pots are about done, the window boxes fast approaching there span. In years past quite often had frost decide when they were done, certainly not the case this year. Some of the maples begining to change, also a number of leaves noticed down off the birch and poplar.

Packing ongoing, a bit each day, with some last minute items being added to the pile. The concept Emily is only moments away from a mall different from local shopping, if she is missing something she can go and fetch it.

No fog, overcast, total calm, 16C, temp to rise along with the humidity into mid 20's, then decline by this evening. Similar conditions for the weekend.

A verbal report after a subtle note via text last evening from UNB. From this distance looks as if Emily making the transition, for the most part, better than she thought. Classes are interesting, how she is doing don't know, but not a negative comment on any of them, as always some portions better than others, has made new friends. A niece will be working at UNB this fall, Arn's daughter, both sisters and next generation met and had lunch with Emily yesterday, all good.

Fishing news still remains static, the availability of acquiring bait entering the conversation more and more each day. Less salt bait in some cases and going to fresh frozen, an expensive way to catch a critter.

Emily a brief report, getting to know her fellow 'campers', keeping busy, afternoon at TREEGO, a success. Lectures and assignments from the first day a blur, didn't know what they were talking about, but not a great concern to her, get the impression a bit of a universal feeling by the group. The transition getting off to a good start, only thirty students in this group; lectures start this morning, activities all week long.

Great sunrise this morning, now being invaded by thick fog being brought in the harbour by a slight draft from south. Temp 16C, forecast is for another sunny, hot and humid day, yesterday was a warm one by midafternoon, again cool by dark.

A pleasant visit yesterday, a couple from Panama City, Fla., dropped into the office. Pat & Bernard travelling the area made a speacil trip to the island to see if I and the place exists, a daily follower of the WU great to meet them. They both have roots in the area, having left mid-fifties to work on various pipeline construction projects all over North America, settling in Panama City.

A bit of construction going on around the house the cellar entrance was a rock wall put in place many years ago, the rock had started move in danger of falling into the path. A simple job of cementing the entrance a bit bigger than anticipated, but too late to reconsider.

Clear, calm, temp 15C to rise low 20's, sunny, this forecast till the end of the week. Evenings cool by time to turn in, ideal conditons almost everyday. The foggy and damp days are welcome relief, they haven't last long or been many.

The ROTARY FESTIVAL, from all accounts, a great success, lots of events, well attended by local and visitors. The weather conditions a great asset, last evening the fireworks dispaly a great way to end the festivities.

Rob at work this holiday, at least for the morning, Emily in Quispam returning for a few days sometime today. Haven't been advised which ferry she is heading for, assume it will be as late as possible.

Whitehead ferry blowing coming to the wharf, conditions seems as if she is outside the window, sound carrying very well.

The weather changed abit overnight, calm, foggy, a few showers, seems this is the order of the day, with temps and humidity on the rise. Holiday weekend looking to be hot and humid, with very little air moving around.

St. John trip contributed to the local econonmy, am advised only one more trip required to insure Emily has her required residence and wardrobe nesecities in hand. Lots of room on the ferry both coming and going, a mixture of 'strangers from away' and local traffic. A pleasant surprise had WI-FI connection in the Parking Lot in Blacks while waiting for the trip home.

Rob out the door for the day, Emily still recuperating after power shopping with her grandmother. She will need more training to keep up on these trips.
