At least no fog, drizzle, no wind, temp still a cool 12C. The forecast is for this type of weather for today, clearing tomorrow, with a possibility of a couple of days of sun.
Emily called three times yesterday, not admitting she was homesick, but did miss her grandmother. On one of the calls requested to speak to her brother. They admitted they missed one another and didn't mind who overheard the confession. Her friends folks travelling that way this weekend, just to let us know we didn't have to make the trip. More funds required in the bank account, weather permitting they are off to Magic Mountain for the day.
Rob tenting overnight, can't imagine they could keep warm with a combination of temp and drizzle, will wait and see if he gets home early this morning for a nap.
The community appreciation gathering for Dr. DAPENA well underway for tomorrow afternoon. He has dedicated THIRTY-EIGHT years of his life to the island practising medicine, most of that time by himself.

Glad to see that things are getting back to normal at your house. Nothing like kids to keep your mind occupied - even in times of sorrow. Little Emily is finally showing that life on Grand Manan is not that bad and neither is the pesky brother, parent, or grand-parents. She will never ADMIT it, but has clearly shown it. Rob seems just like my Cody in so many ways. They're young and a bit of rain or cold is just like a pesky mosquito - just ignore it and it eventually goes away. No biggy! Bring on camping with the boys!
Cody had his first game of Rugby - U20 - game last Saturday and it was quite brutal. However, we wiped up the competition 50-10. I must say that it was entirely different from high school rugby. For example they are 90 minute games - no subs - and oh yes - the various beer tents on the grounds were quite surprising too.? The Senior guys always play first apparently, then the women's league, and then the U20. What a day. I gave the kid strict orders that there was to be no celebratory beer being guzzled by him - and we went to the game to make sure. He is only 17 and everyone else is 19 to 21. Not sure how this is going to work. Oh well. The older guys really took care of him and gave lots of advanced instruction. Not sure of the allowing of shirt pulling, slam dunking bodies, etc., either. God!
Daughter and I did 2 and a half hour bike today so I am going to lay down and die somewhere. There are also advantages to being 19 and fit. So - hope you are feeling a bit better about things today and every day to come. Good to hear your cheery accounts as usual. I guess we all miss you when you're not on.
Have a Good one - word! Chunks
