Rain overnight, a soaker currently underway, with clearing indications from the west. Calm, 10C, temp to rise near 20C with clearing in the offing, damp weather for tomorrow and few days after.

Emily babysitting this morning, and after school till early this evening. Certainly keeping herself busy and she has an interview today for her summer employment at the Boys&Girls Club.

Fishing news not all that great, lobster catch not on the rise as should be the case as the season draws to a close. Price continues to hover around the $5/lb level.

Morning David, Tony and his other half were our companions for the weekend trip to Moncton. The show was great, as was the company.

Tony saying his catch remains static, the lobsters not showing up in the quantity they should this time of year or the locations they should be. Locally there are two areas roughly described as above and below. Tony fishes below, southern end of the island, those fishing above doing well, but the lobster are nearly 40% 'jumbos', you guys would have to put them back. The large amount of jumbos on the market not a good thing for the buyers as a consequence having a negative impact on the price overall.

Bait a bit of a problem, no weir herring as yet, seiners tied up till next week. Frozen bait all that is available at the moment.

Mornin CHUNKS, was in your nice town yesterday on the backhaul to Blacks Harbour. Visited KREDL's, girls managed to find things they required. An interesting establishment a one stop shopping opportunity for sure.

Girls comparing the DIRT BAND to EL DIVO with others that attended your show. Obvious both groups pleased or wowed those attending, the BAND went for 90 minutes non-stop with a few encores, great atmosphere and a few suds spilled by some attending great fun. Your show certainly more than a few accolades so now the argument would have to be a cultural one I suppose, the enteratinment value not an issue.

Have a good one.

Dear Rob:

I gotta tell you - if you were in New York City you wouldn't have seen as good a show as El Divo. I had floor seats and I just can't explain it - IT WAS AWESOME.

I see that you experienced Kredl's. That is where my Sarah has worked for the last three Summers. Two years with Don Kredl and one year with the new owner -Dave. She was supposed to work there this summer too but got the UNB job, but now she is wishing she had have stayed with Dave???

Dave is 22 years old - if you can imagine it. He owns Kredl's, and organic vegetable farm (wherein he provides 300 vegetable boxes a week to his customers), and he also owns a used car outfit in N.S. How is that for success? He has always wanted to date Sarah but she just says: Mom, we are friends. Damn - she could comfortably look after me when I am ancient - which seems like it might be next week. HaHa.

Anyway, we love Dave and always tell him how proud of his success we are. He always says: too bad my parents weren't proud of me - all they ever talk about is my brother (who is a doctor). I always say of course your parents are proud of you? That is the world I have with some of my kids. What in 'THE' hell are parents thinking when kids are that successful - I DO NOT KNOW.

Anywho - back to the garden. I was on a 13k hike on the fundy trail yesterday. It was spectacular. If I had of known you were coming through I would have had you up for a pop. Oh well, one of these years I will meet you or visa versa. For now: The air of mystery remains. HaHa.

Later. Word. Chunks.
