It's raining this morning so it has to be the perfect time to re-pot the Bonsais. Got buckets catching rainwater. The clay pots for the bonsais are set in the yard soaking up the rain. My little guys made it through the winter and have leafed out, sure hope I don't kill 'em. I have a Lace Bark Elm, Chinese Elm and Dwarf Mugo Pine that are coming out of their plastic garden center pots and getting real "homes". These are part of the evolutionary plan to bring a bit of order to the happy anarchy of my flower garden. Basically, at one time I tried for orderly English Cottage Garden. The plants re-seeded, sent out runners and basically shifted to wherever they liked. And flourished! So now in different areas where things don't grow well,I'm bringing in Japanese themed yard art and trying for both colorful chaos and order.
