Have you been in hiding, like Wikipedia? Your blog hasn't been visited for over 24 hours!

Glad you got a chuckle out of my little story. Here is another one for today!
Yesterday, my neighbour did his usual trick, pulled his car onto my drive to get his wife's car out from behind his car. I have a long drive, but the other side of the drive is a shared drive between two houses. Down the right-hand side of my drive is a large hedge. Yesterday, he pulled a little too close to the hedge, then hadn't put the brake on correctly, the drive has a slight slope to the edge, and as he was moving the little woman's car, his began to slide forward into the hedge. I was watching from the bedroom window, from behind the curtains, and saw it all! He had quite a job to disengage his car from the laurel hedge.... I hope he scratched his car .... serves him right!!

Hope your long week is going well :)

G'Morning Sandi,
I'm back at work. Bet you were laughing your butt off watching him chase down and try to extract his car.

Hi, GG! Back at the batcave? This is my first day back on my regular schedule.

If anything, this year's winter is a tad warmer than normal. We usually have temps get near zero, but this year the coldest it's been has been 13!

Don't work too hard!

Good morning GG! Do they have one for the Alien Apocalypse 2012? my oldest has played many zombie based video games the last few years, so he is ready.

I will have to find the link, found it. I saw something on a zombie walk in Dallas. Looks like fun.

Just stopping in to say Hello and have a great weekend, once we get off work tonight! LOL

What day of the week is it....? To me it is Sunday and the day of rest. Hang on, since retiring, every day is a day of rest!! lol

What day is it for you? Is it the last day of your long week?

At least your temperatures are a decent low 40's, so not too cold for a day out , if you felt like it. I went out yesterday, so am staying put today... maybe do some baking, watch the odd film, read a book, play on the computer, cook a dinner, do the laundry..... day of rest I said? lol

Morning, GG,

We've got real problems down here - the squirrels are mating, and the doves sound like it's April with all their cooing. That's what record heat will get you, I guess. I never thought I'd be longing for cold and nasty, but I am.

Looks like we may get some nice-nasty this week, with our rain chances up to 70%. I just hope there's no severe with it here, as they're forecasting for farther east.

The biggest problem I have is the little toe on my left foot. I ran over it with a grocery cart two weeks ago (don't ask - it involved a pair of sandals and a quick turn by the dairy case) and it keeps swelling up. It's not broken, but there's some problem. It could just be that it's taking the tissue longer to heal, or that it's weather making the difference now. Some days it's perfectly fine, and then it isn't. In the great scheme of things it's not important at all, but it's about the only news we have around here. How pathetic is that? LOL

LOL Shore! It seems to me that now you have a weather predictor in your toe! That must have been quite a turn with the grocery cart. You and my granddaughter can commiserate together when the toes are speaking to you. I assume that you read that my little R. broke her big toe in gymnastics class. She has to wear a soft show for a month. I suppose it is there to stop her from doing cartwheels!
By the way, my squirrels (from my yard) are mating as well. They are chasing each other over the snow-ice covered ground and up trees, a sure sign of amorous intentions.

Hi GG. I hope that you are having a good weekend.

Good Morning!
It is my day off. The weather is nice but odd. Warm, humid, overcast with no wind. There are robins and juncos around.....This is quite early. Usually do not see these guys until the March migration.

Hi Sig, how could we have missed the Zombie parade?!
My timing is off for all things zombie it seems. The All-Con Sci-Fi/Anime etc convention is in March. Two weeks ago my hair was in wiry tufts. I could have so dressed up like a zombie from the Plants v Zombies game. Here is the link to All-Con for anyone who is curious Link

Hi Ylee, Now it's my Saturday. May actually get out in the yard. Not real into the Ravens or Pat's, but am really interested in the Giants v 49's game later.

Hi Gams, It's our weekend! Are you having the grandkids over? Whatever you are up to I hope it turns out fun.

Hi Prose, Thanks, what a beautiful snow bird. They prabaly don't like it, but birds look best in snowy backrounds.

Hi Sandi, I think retirement means slightly more time for hobbies and fun. Retirement really needs to come with maid and laundry service so one can enjoy it better.

Hi Shore, the animals are all cattywumpus up here too. Not sure what that's about.
The toe sounds like it has a small fracture and lots of broken blood vessels. Avoid blood thinners like alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, aleve. Use tylenol instead. and of course elevate above heart several times a day (without locking knee joint)

Oh man! An "End of the World" theme? That's going to be FUN!
You could always try to maintain the hairstyle for a couple months ... no? NO! Let someone else be the zombie.
You could do a spiky Mad Max thing, instead ;)

Your weather sticker says 77 degrees! That's just nuts. Hope you're all having a fun "Saturday" :)

Hope you get to see and take pictures of plenty of birds during your time off!

Ah, yes, but retirement also comes with less "salary", so when you need help in the house, you can't afford it!! lol

Enjoy your day off:)

Do you have any idea what Syd and Roxie do when they're home alone?

(Wha? Where did that come from? Yikes, she's having random, unrelated thoughts again.)

Actually, you recently made a comment on my blog:
"Roxie is trying her puppy pirate skills to illegally board my lap (not allowed while on computer). The formerly quiet cockatoo is now chattering away to get attention because the dog is getting some."

And that got me to wondering, because I think cockatoos are very social and require attention, corgis are quite energetic, and both are very smart. It seems that they might amuse each other and even incite each other to mischief when no human is around to entertain them. I have to think there's a lot of potential there. So, do you find evidence of interesting and/or forbidden activities when you return home from work?

Hi All,
It has indeed been a wonderful weather event around here. Yesterday the spouse took a half day off from work and we went to Lake Lewisville. Roxie got a two hour walk and I took lots of pictures.

Hi SP, once upon a time I actually owned some clothing that would have worked with the Mad Max theme;)

Hi Ylee, Seeing as poor Peyton should stay off the field with his neck injury, let's hope younger brother over-achieves for the both of them.

Hi Sandi, we either need to win a big lotto or learn Spanish and move to South America where help and living expenses are cheap.

Hi Briarcraft, Oh yeah I have imagined those two getting into all kinds of mischief using team work to over come not having opposable thumbs. I could see them ordering pizza on-line if they had my card number Lol.

Oh the house is shaking! That is some Texas size thunder going on. Bring the rain but no high winds or hail please.

GG ~ I just stopped by to see what was shaking up there, and I see it's your house! There was hail around College Station and Austin already - smallish in College Station, but there was one report of golf-ball sized at the corner of MoPac and something in Austin.

It started getting foggy here about 2 p.m. and now it's really thickened up. Quarter-mile visibility, I suppose. Plenty of moisture for whatever's coming to work with, that's for sure.

I'm sitting here watching a guy in shorts and no shirt down on the walkway that goes around the marina. He's doing pushups - just got past fifty. It wore me out to count,so I quit at that point.

Glad you got out to Lewisville today - it must have been lovely. I've got to get my chores finished up so I can plan my next day trip! And we NEED some cold weather to slow everything down. The redbuds are getting close to being ready to pop - it could turn into one of those years where everything blooms and then gets freeze-nipped.

Keep an eye out on this weather. Our thunderstorms are supposed to arrive after midnight. It's been so long since good thunderstorms, I may wait up.

OH!!! I nearly forgot what I wanted to bring you. Check this out, if you haven't seen it at sp's. There's a perfect use for someone's crystals in here! Besides that, the technology is great.
