All Okay in Lewisville Just hail

Yes folks, me and my two spouses (lol) are the biggest baddest "Life's Not Fair Monopoly" players in the realm. I have the trophy to prove it :-D

Lifes Not Fair Monopoly is one of the funnest versions I've ever played. The Community Chest and Chance cards often come with a message saying you just got a new baby. Passing GO means you lose $10 for every plastic baby game piece you have. Free Parking has become Welfare and if you land on that you get money for each kid.

Anything pretty much goes in this game. You can "marry" another player and combine properties to build a dynasty. If the player leaves the table they are considered "dead" and you can take all the property and marry someone else. Don't go to the restroom during this game.

We all laughed our behinds off playing this.

Just said on Fox 4 that the storms are beginning to consolidate into a line, and that may bode well. Also, only one warning now, NE of you. Back to work I go - take care. I'll check back later. Dixie sends her regards to Syd and Roxy!

Should be just heavy rain and some more hail now. Got to run the drill; how fast can I kennel the critters, pile a mattress fort, and sweep important stuff into purse and burrow in. Lewisville hasn't signaled the "all clear" yet but I don't think I'll be knock on wood ducking for cover now.

Oh, sounds as though you are having an interesting day!
Hope it all comes to nought:)

Looks as though the storms have moved East.....

Yes it has been a busy day. Just finished planting all my new plants into the garden and fertilizing the grass (in light rain).

Not long after the sirens started. Have the TV news on. The weather guy says he has not seen so many super-cells in the metroplex in his twenty years living here.

Lucked out. Baseball size hail to the near north and south of me. Only dime size with the occaisional quarter size here.

Syd and Roxy are out of their shelter kennels (and quite happy to be freed). It's time to make dinner. We are having cider porkchops and the house is going to smell sooooo good.

HI G/G!

I'm so glad you and yours weren't within the line of tornadoes that went through what appears to be the Dallas/Ft. Worth area or counties. I've been watching the aftermath on national cable and local tv news reports and the scenes are quite devastating.

Hope you can relax now and enjoy the aroma and taste of those apple cider pork chops!

I'm so, so glad you haven't taken damage. I've been watching the Weather Channel off and on for the last three hours. It looked like some of that truly nasty stuff came awfully close to Lewisville. I hope all the bad stuff misses you and you get to have a nice dinner with no problems.

Watching those hook echoes move millimeter by millimeter across the area was terrifying. I'm glad to hear it was only a drill for you and yours, GG.

(((Hi Shore, Jus, Sandi, Uncle, Calpoppy, Mass, Briar, LowerCal)))

Thanks for checking :)

Toured the yard and bit of neighborhood. We look okay here. Even the new plants seem to have gone unscathe so I'm considering buying a lotto ticket while my luck is so good.

GG, so glad that you are ok and that no damage occurred. What nasty weather! I was not at home when the tornadoes struck and so I had no idea of what was going on in Texas until the evening news. I am truly happy that there are no reports of death due to the tornadoes.

Stay safe and have fun with your two spouses!

GG, I'm glad you're OK, but I wish that you'd find some beter shelter(I know, I know, I need to heed my own advice!). Mattresses in doublewides are not suitable for tornadoes!

Glad your plants are unscathed, although if you're like me, you used up all your luck in today's storms! :)

Those pork chops sound good. I like butterfly chops, but rarely make them. Care to share the recipe, or is it a secret?

I'm really glad you guys escaped the mayhem today. I'd come home for a really late lunch and when I saw the radar, I couldn't believe it. Like you, I'd scanned the weather forecasts and was completely surprised by the blowup.

It may turn into a strange spring - I just hope the moisture keeps coming. As rain, if you please!

I have to agree with Ylee. Not sure, but isn't "double-wide" another name for "tornado magnet"? Sure seems so most times when I see tornado damage on TV. Better not buy any lotto tickets -- you've used up your luck for this month. Doubly lucky that your new plants didn't get smushed, either.
