Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see where a thunderbumper developed to the east of Los Mochas late yesterday afternoon and drifted toward the coast getting larger. Around 9am last night it moved out into the Sea and at that time it looks like it was on the wane. It actually did not start to break up until several hours later and this morning there are debris clouds from this system from Concepcion Bay south to the cape. All along the stretch from Puerto Escondido to the cape they could have had some showers this morning. You could include the southern crossing as well.
About the only place there are no debris clouds from this system is in the very far northern end of the Sea.
Looking now south to the Mexican Riviera I can see that a nice honker build back to the east of Puerto Vallarta early this morning and started drifting toward the coast pretty much blanketing the area from Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties this morning with one huge cell.
Further south along the Riviera I can see there have been several rather small cells pop up and quickly dissipate. Most of these cells are just off shore but close enough to land to bring rain to the coastal areas.
Looking now into our Tropical Kitchen where we have two items on the burners. On the front burner is Daniel. He is now a cat 1 hurricane with around 70 mph winds. He started off as a low several days ago around 500 miles SW of Acapulco and has very slowly moved directly west and the forecast for this westward movement to continue at around 10 mph. He will remain in a favorable environment for strengthening for the next 12-18 hours then it hits cooler waters and will start to weaken.
The other item is on the back burner is a low that is just where brother Daniel started several days ago. This low has been designated invest 97 Echo. Conditions are favorable for this to develop quickly like Daniel and be our next named storm, Emilia.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where high pressure is moving toward the coast from the east and the high pressure is bringing on the heat. The mild conditions along the coast are returning to seasonal hot temperatures. Sacramento will see the century mark for the next several days. Redding around 112-114.
Southern California will warm up with just above average temperatures for most of next week. There is also a slight chance of some thunderbumper activity from the monsoon moisture moving up from the south.
Looking now over to the southwest where the monsoon season has started and they can expect an increase in thunderbumper activity this weekend as moisture increases across the area.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the northern Sea will see brisk to strong northwesterlies this afternoon then moderate northeasterlies for the next two days.
The central Sea will see moderate east or SE over the 3-day forecast period.
The southern Sea with see some mostly light northerlies today then swing to the SW or SE for Sunday and Monday.

Temperatures in the mid to high 90s today.
