Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that there has been very little thunderbumper activity in Sonora in the past 24 hours. Since midnight there has been a few storms develop with the remnant clouds drifting over into the Sea though.
This morning it looks like most of these remnant clouds have either dissipated or moved over the peninsula and out into the Pacific. There are however some left over clouds in the central Sea that should be gone by early morning.
Looking south to the cape area and the southern crossing where the crossing area looks to be cloud free this morning.
Looking now south along the Mexican Riviera where I can see that most of the thumpers that built back in the mountains did not quite make it to the coast.
Looking now at the ITCZ/Monsoon trough where it is only moderately active this morning. It’s snaking along 9N this morning.
There are a couple of Tropical Waves in the basin right now however both after that long trip from Africa are exhausted and are weakening with little or no chance of any tropical development.
So again this morning we have nothing cooking in our Tropical Kitchen.
That’s what is going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where mostly sunshine is the order of the day with temperatures inland in the mid to high 90s and the mid to high 70s along the coast.
Southern California will have little change from yesterday except a decreased chance of any thunderbumper activity in the mountains and deserts.
Looking now over to the southwest where thunderbumper chances remain in the forecast each afternoon and evening into the upcoming weekend although thunderbumper coverage is expected to be less than of late.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the Baja side of the northern Sea will see mostly light to moderate ENE winds over the 3-day forecast period.
The Sonoran side light to moderate WSW during this period
The central Sea mostly light to moderate ENE winds for the 3-day forecast period.
The southern Sea starting around Puerto Escondido light to moderate east or ESE wind for the next 3 days.
In general pretty much like what we have been seeing for the past week.
Temperatures today will be in the mid to high 90s and be a tad muggy in the afternoon.
