Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the northern and Central Sea are pretty much clear this morning. The southern Sea from around Puerto Escondido south to the cape and beyond are blanketed with clouds from active cells in the Sea and over in Sonora.
Late yesterday afternoon one cell developed over Sonora and grew to a huge size up until around 3am before it began to dissipate. The clouds from this storm are spread out from a bit north of Puerto Escondido to La Paz this morning.
Another storm began around Cabo Corrienties and moved out into the Pacific and has been moving north into the Sea of Cortez during the night. Clouds from this cell blanket the Sea to around La Paz.
The original cell is now on the win however another is building over Puerto Vallarta the morning and as of 7am it had pretty much blow out however there are considerable remnant clouds in the area. .
So it looks like the portions of the southern Sea will be slow to clear this morning.
Looking to the south of Cabo Corrienties the coast is pretty much clear to the Gulf of Tehuantepec this morning.
We have three tropical waves in our hood this morning and one more heading our way.
The first is moving over Guatemala and El Salvador and it will enter the basin in about 36-48 hours.
The second is SW of Acapulco and has some shower activity around it however not much wind. It is slowly moving west.
The third wave is well SW of the cape heading toward Hawaii this morning. It poses no threat to Baja.
Then over in the Caribbean I can see another Tropical Wave has passed over Cuba and is now out in the Gulf of Mexico. It should show up in the Pacific in a couple of days.
So again this morning there is not much cooking in our Tropical Kitchen.
That’s what is going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where high pressure is giving cause to temperatures in the Great Northwest to be in the 90s this weekend.
Northern California’s valleys will see triple digit temperatures this afternoon while the coast will be in the 70s.
Southern California has a weak trough of low pressure off shore that’s responsible for the region being overcast over the weekend.
High pressure will return next week and warm the southland back up again. Next week looks hot and dry.
Looking now over to the southwest where they could see some shower and thunderbumper activity today however a better chance will be tomorrow.
High pressure over the plains states will migrate west into the southwest next week that will bring a drying trend and hot temperatures. There will still be enough lingering moisture to support a few afternoon and evening showers and thunderbumpers.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the northern Sea will see moderate winds over the 3-day forecast period. Today on the Baja side SE, tomorrow and Monday NE.
The Sonoran side SE today then SW Sunday and Monday.
The central Sea winds will be mostly thermally driven and will have a strong eastern flavor over the 3-day forecast period . You might get NE in the morning and SE in the afternoons.
The southern Sea will see light southerlies today and Monday. Tomorrow the winds will have a western component and be in the moderate ranges.
Many locations will see the 100 degree mark again today.

73s Y’all
