Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning first with the 24 hour loop. I can see there was a lot going on all day. A number of small cells developed in the Sea from the early morning to late yesterday afternoon leaving a lot of residual clouds in the area.
There were several rather large cells develop over in Sonora adding to the cloudiness in the Sea.
Since about midnight there has been very little thunderbumper activity in the Sea or on the mainland. If fact almost none. The Sea however still has a lot of residual cloudiness that will be slow to clear mostly in the central Sea this morning.
I can also see there was numerous thumpers back in the mountains on the east coast of the Baja peninsula. The El Burro Cove station that reported any rain accumulation in the Sea and it was only a trace. That being said the IR imagery was showing several localtion along the Baja coast that had at least a small shower.
Looking now south of the cape and along the Mexican Riviera where it looks like the entire coast has at least one thumper over in since midnight.
We have two Tropical Waves in the basin this morning and another one somewhere in the Caribbean. I can not see it on the map and it could have been gobbled up by Tropical Storm Ernesto in the Caribbean. We’ll have to wait and see if it pops out into the Eastern Pacific basin.
OK back in out hood we have one that has been slowly moving out of our region for the past couple of days. It’s currently out around 130 and poses no threat to land.
The other is a newbee. Just showed up the other day and this morning the Navy designated it as invest 92 Echo. It is tracking along just north of the ITCZ/Monsoon trough about 12N. Environmental conditions are favorable for tropical development in this area and the National Hurricane Center is giving it a 50% chance of developing into something tropical in the next 48 hours. The computer generated tracking modles are showing this system moving pretty much due west for its life span. No danger to land from this system.
So well have to put this system on the back burner in or Tropical Kitchen for the time being. It however looks like this will become our next tropical storm. Should this happen he would be Hector.
That’s what is going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where temperatures will start to rise today and continue to rise all week due to the advancing high pressure ridge from the east.
Later in the week southern California could see some monsoonal moisture creep in bringing a chance of some showers and thunderbumper but the first part of the week it will be dry and hot.
Looking now over to the southwest where the Tucson area will be looking at 102-104 all week. Yuma 114-115. For the most part it will be hot and dry this week however there is enough moisture in the air to bring a chance of thunderbumpers to the higher terrain.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the next 3 days will be pretty much like the last 3 days with moderate southerlies prevailing. Water vapor imagery is showing a lot of moisture in the air so I’d expect to see some thunderbumper activity in the coastal mountains this afternoon and very possibly more cells moving out into the Sea from Sonora this evening hopefully northing strong enough to cause us any alarm just a good thunder and lightning show.
Temperatures today will be a few degree higher than yesterday and still be in the mid to high 90. A few locations will see triple digits.

73s Y’all
