July 2012 climate statistics.

Above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation
characterized Kansas City weather in July.

The average temperature at the Kansas City International Airport was
85.2 degrees, which was 6.9 degrees above normal.

The average high temperature was 98.2 degrees, or 9.9 degrees above normal.

The average low temperature was 72.1 degrees which was 3.7 degrees above
normal.

The highest temperature for the month was 106 degrees on the
18th and 25th.

The lowest temperature was 65 degrees on the 10th.
The high of 104 degrees on the 6th, broke the record low for the
date.

The high of 105 degrees on the 7th, tied the record for the
date. This was the 7th warmest July on record.

Precipitation came in at 0.49 inches for the month, or 3.96 inches
below normal.

The greatest total in a 24 hour period was 0.35 inches
on the 25th through 26th. This was the 6th driest July on record.
