KeleHawaii's WunderBlog

It has been dry for the past few days

However the air mass around us is now a bit on the wetter side and I expect some spotty showers here on the windward side.

It won't be enough to alleviate the much drier conditions on the leeward side which is very unfortunate.

I drove through the Ka'u District this past Saturday and noted that things there had slightly greened up from the recent showery period of about 10 days ago but a lot of the cattle I saw were still in rather brownish pastures. Very sad indeed.

Best wishes for some rain! That 68 degrees you have looks pretty good. Still, it must be - maybe 8 a.m. there. I've never checked the time difference between you and central, but it's clearly at least three.

We're celebrating some clouds and hoping for some cool-down this weekend. Today's forecast high? 102. Oh, hooray. ;)

When the mainland is on Daylight time, the difference between CDT and HST is 5 hours. When you go back to Standard time, it becomes 4 hours. We do not use Daylight Saving Time here in the islands. Arizona is the only other state that does not either.
