Hurricane Charley 4 year anniversary:
Four years ago I witnessed amazing wind speeds over 150mph while documenting Hurricane Charley in Charlotte Harbor, Florida. Hurricane Charley was the beginning of a very long and exhausting 2004 Hurricane Season. I was just in Charlotte Harbor, Florida a few weeks ago and happy to report the community has rebuilt nicely. I did notice some noticable scaring to the larger trees from Charley's intense winds but overall the vegetation has come back nicely. We are now entering the peak of the season so now is a good time to make sure you have your hurricane kit ready and start paying attention to the tropics....
