so I ended up with over 2 1/2 inches of rain, much needed.Still way below average for precip this year, but certainly helps, puts down the fire danger and for one day it help the pollen sufferers.
Windy cool day with lots of clouds and a spot shower.Temps most of this week in the 50's to around 60.Chance of rain late Thursday and again Sunday,so unsettled and cool for the forseeable future.Don't look for any 70's or 80's in the near future.
Amazing snow pictures from NY yesterday.Golf courses where people were playing golf now covered in a foot of snow, and the golf carts buried in snow.

It looks like yesterday's resulting low pollen count from the Nor'easter was short-lived. It's way back up again to a sneezin' wheezin' high of 10.80 out of 12.00! I was hoping that some of the residual moisture on the ground would help keep more of it at bay. Obviously, wishful thinking on my part! LOL!
I must say that's it's been a tad difficult confronting these much seasonably cooler days ahead. Hope it won't linger too far into May. Hubby and I definitely want to get back to sipping our early am coffee in a warm porch or comfortably grilling outdoors. No fun while being bundled up. LOL!
I'm truly grateful, though, this storm only brought us needed rain instead of any heavy wet snow! Talk about luck of the draw! I think we already suffered more than our fair share of it, the winter before last, and continue to deserve a very lengthy reprieve. Hope that any snow damage suffered in those western portions of NY and PA isn't too great. I guess those snowed-out golfers will just have to tough it out putting indoors for a few weeks longer. With May just around the bend, warmer weather should soon melt away any residual snow to where they can make it back on the links again. FOUR!!!
Love the Billy Preston music video! He was certainly such an under-rated talent!
I love Billy Preston,he was a very underrated entertainer, multi talented muscian, songwriter and singer.Listening to the words in that sound written so long ago,but certainly applies to our lives these days.
Waitresses wear skin-tight nurses' uniforms, and Basso dresses as the cardiologist on staff, complete with doctor's coat and stethoscope. Diners are called patients. And on the menu: "Flatliner" fries cooked in lard, shakes made with pure cream, and four flavors of "bypass" burgers, as in single, double, triple or quadruple bypass.
The Quadruple Bypass Burger can top 10,000 calories. Basso said the Guinness World Records book contacted him Friday to say that the burger was being crowned the most caloric sandwich on Earth.
The restaurant also offers free meals to people weighing more than 350 pounds.
Owner Jon Basso said Monday that he wishes the customer a swift and full recovery. But, he added, the woman got exactly what she asked for: a brush with death.
"We attract an avant-garde clientele -- thrill seekers, risk takers," he told the Los Angeles Times, adding that his restaurant is a "bad for you but fun" restaurant that "attracts people who don't really take good care of their health."
The condition of the woman was not immediately known; she was wheeled out of the restaurant by paramedics.
She had been downing a margarita and smoking a cigarette before she was stricken, Basso said.
"She was eating, drinking, smoking, laughing, dancing, having fun," Basso said of the restaurant-goer, who fell unconscious Saturday night. "But when you treat your body like that day in and day out, eventually your body is going to give out."
