Ah Spring is upon us finally with rain every day for the past 3 days. This really reminds you about Montana in the Spring. This morning we awoke to 8 inches of wet/ heavy snow. Quite the surprise as this is the biggest snowfall of the winter and the official day of Spring isn't off by but a day, March 20, 2012.

New Snow: 8 inches! Woo
Base: 8 inches

Oh yeah...Ice and snow covering the ground has melted completely for the season it looks. I imagine this new snow will disappear in a day or two. Everything is going to green again and it will be great!

Surprise, surprise, we received 3 inches of west snow last night after two days of warm temperatures into the upper 50s. Spring is definitely in the air now.New Snow: 3 inchesBase: 3 inches

Since the last entry it has snowed a few times with just a trace amount of accumulation, melting off by noon. Today was definitely the highest temperature we've seen this year. The majority of the snow and ice on the ground has melted and we can see grass once again. The warm temperatures are a welcome relief from this terrible winter we've had. Total snow accumulation has totaled only around 15 inches in 2012. Spring definitely is in the air.
