Welcome to The Ark

A lot of celebration going on!
Feeling pretty happy about the prospects of blue sunny sky over Florida as Debby finally moves off into the Atlantic.

Also, and more importantly, today is special because it is m'Lady's birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGIE!

Thank you, my love, for bringing sunshine to my life, even on the gloomiest of days!

UPDATE 06-28-12!

Happy Anniversary RTLSNK and SugarBear

History worth knowing.

On this day in 1953:

The first Corvette rolled off the production line. (1953) The car only came in white with a black top and red interior. Optional features included a curtain instead of roll-up windows and interior door handles. 300 cars were made the first year and sold for $3,498 U.S. Dollars.

I was just at the Bowling Green assembly plant last week! I want a 2013 427 convertible! :))

I think they go for about $85K, nicely equipped! :)

I'm hoping you're watching the barometer.
When that storm gets closer and it starts to drop, I'd be headed to the leeward side a day or two before things get ugly.
The bite should be huge,

Good advice, but not poss. this time, sadly.

I'll just have to dream on it, sigh...............

Hey Shep, Hey Skiman,

Dr. Master's came on and said the problem was that there was a "Leap second" scheduled for today and the Linux software wasn't prepared for it.

What in the hell is a leap second?

He left a link to some computer geek website that explained it.
Of course you have to be a programmer or hacker to understand what they said. :)

The good news is that the temp here at 9 PM has dropped to a lovely 92*. :)

We have a sprinkler company coming out here Monday and Tuesday to set up two seperate zones for my system. One will water the lawn areas and the other one will water the above ground gardens, the veggie garden, and the landscape areas.

Thats the best I can do. If Georgia turns into a desert, I'll zero landscape with gravel and cactus plants. I never give up. :)

And with the new sprinkler system I will have I can turn the yard into a water park for the neighborhood kids!

Time for bed, you two have fun!

It's a Paratroopers thing, you know.
After the guy that leaps first, is the leap second.

DUHHH !

89 and rising.
But...nice and breezy. Wouldn't mind a cloud or two.

Well, sir I do hope you find the correct island. Chaos has been know to ensue when a boatload of motley party-goers shows up on the wrong doorstep!

Also, take heed. something in the Atlantic is waving at you and convection appears to be moving southward. Could make for a damp and bumpy ride.

Thought I might give the slithery one a call this pm, but looks like he is hibernating! I probably would be too!

Oh, well...back outside I suppose.

Yes Indeed, to all your notifications pertaining to the morrow and the ensuing Festivities, the Impending Tempest, and Whatnot and Stuff.

Never fear, though, Capt. Hood, for you have drilled us well in the Proper Behaviour during times of Dismal Calamity, Dire Circumstance and Perilous Crossings whilst we were under your Command. (AH! Those days!)

My years within the Dark Bowels of The Ark of Fools has prepared me well for All and Sundry Occasions.
Especially, the Party's.
I am Proud to have been one of your Crew, Capt., and will endeavour to maintain a decorum (with the emphasis on rum, of course) consummate with my rigorous training.

I will assume the Role of Leader of Entertainments, as we plough headlong through the Roiling Rolling Breakers across the Gulf Of Paria which is well known for it's many and diverse marine perils, which include Mermen, Bells that Clang at Midnight, Strange Lights that traverse the waters and lure the uninitiated to a watery doom, Bearded Scoundrels long dead, and suchlike.

All will be well.

I bid you a Good Evening.

SugarBear is not a happy camper. :(
A lot of her flowers and plants are frying in this heat even with twice a day water.

That sux big time snakers.
You two have busted your humps all spring to get things halfway the way you want them and now you get slapped down.

Come to think of it, I've got several friends over in La Grange and they won't even bother much with flowers. They stick to shrubs.

Keep the faith big guy, you know who "has your back" in the grand scheme of things.

I think you two should buy a condo in Islamorada and spend summers down there and rent it out in winter to pay for it.

Pshaw...no ulterior motives here :)))

Hey, Stat is back! Good to see you again.

The website is still acting strange today.
None of the personal blogs showed up again when I was here earlier.
Now they are back again, strange.

Local weather station here in Macon reported 110.1*F at 1715 hours.
NWS said it was only 108* today.

Who the heck cares? 108 was bad enough.

SugarBear is not a happy camper. :(

And July, August, and Sept are still to come.
