How could you be so selfish wanting it for kids with mental health and abuse issues? Priorities here. Okay, done ranting now.
Good Morning{{Shen}}! I hope it's a great day for you!
Have a great day
When I left you best wishes for your new year's journey, what you seem to be implying in #14 isn't quite what I had in mind.
One of those jerks GG referenced above was on the news this week - worked for one of "those" companies for six weeks or so and got a severance package of a gazillion dollars. It was enough for him to upgrade to a larger NY townhouse worth literal millions. Maybe he could look in his change jar and see if he has a little extra for VA.
The flooding here is bad but could be worse if flood control measures weren't in place. I live close to the Portage Diversion which diverts water from the Assiniboine River to Lake Manitoba. The river set new records this year and cuts were made in the dykes(levees) to keep he river from overtopping the dykes ans causing more damage. Nearly 500 people were evacuated who live near the breach.
Lake Manitoba witch is normaly at 812 ft. above sea level is nearly at 819' above sea level. Numerous cottages which have year round residdents were destroyed by high north winds which caused waves to overtop the beach ridge.
Here's a couple of photos taken by a friend with a light aircraft who oveerflew the flooded area.
The south end of Lake Manitoba.
The outlet of the Portage Diversion into lake Manitoba.
The shore is normally about 50 feet on the right side of the treeline.

The Portage Diversion protects Portage la Prairie, my home town, and Winnipeg as well as farms in between.
The Assiniboine river drains land in Southern Saskechwan and the nothern parts of North Dakota. The Souris R which is responible for the flood in Monot ND empties in the Assiniboine and all that water will pass about 6 miles south in the river and 5 miles west through the diversion. With the record 5 inch rains in the dakotas and Saskatewan flows are predicted to be as high as the spring ruoff. The diversion is designed to handle 25000 cubic ft per second was beefed up and 37000 cfs wwere diverted. The river and the diversion can handle 40000 cfs but the crest this year was 53000 cfs. The inflows from the Souris and other tributaries are expected to bring the flows up to 48000 cfs again.
The farm community is really suffering with the ground too wet to get thier equipment on the fields to seed.
