Autumnal Solstice arrived 22 Sept 0949EST, but the weather was definitely Summer-like...hot and humid.
This was the longest, hottest, and most humid Summer I have ever seen, and I certainly hope for no repeats!! I hope your Summer was most enjoyable, and you're looking forward to the (hopefully) spectacular changing of the leaves! All we need are warm days and chilly nights! Ave atque vale and 73!

Summer of 'XII

The Solstice came in on Weds., 20 June; 17:06hrs EDT...and this was the hottest intro' we've ever experienced...temperatures are up in the 90's (ᵒF thankfully). Forecasts call for moderating temperatures, i.e., back to normal...the upper 70's ᵒF. Yay, Us! Next weekend will be Field Day for AmateuRadiOperators and I am hoping for balmy Wx...I'll be in a tent, somewhere out in the woods, perhaps, pounding away on the CW Bands! Oh, Happy Days!!! Hello Again... Ah, it's May, it's May, the Lusty month of May,,,but, not the May temps, yet! And, no Humming Birds, either! Love it when the Hummers are here! Well, a belated entry for this year...last one was 24 Jan...Autumnal Equinox came in 23 Sept., at 05:04 hrs. and the Wx sure fell into the Fall mode quite fast! Our Spring stayed very chilly, well into the middle of May, when finally, we were treated to full-time Spring weather. We had a long hot, humid summer, and our humming birds had the shortest season ever this year...from 8 May until 22 Sept.! I do so look forward 'til their return next Spring. La Nina is...

Now here is a sure sign of Global Wx change: We are colder here than AntArctica!! I never thought I'd witness this!! Our temperature fell to -18°F, 5°F lower here than there! Oh, I know it is colder in other places, but I think it must give one pause to think about this event. What to do? 73...
