Glacier National Park, in NW Montana, has a webcam trained on an osprey nest. The platform the nest sits on was provided by the local utility company as a means for the osprey to nest while keeping them off the poles with electric wires attached. The male from last years' breeding pair that occupied the webcam nest died as a result of coming in contact with a pole that had electric lines. However, a few days ago, an osprey returned to the nest; hopefully, in a few weeks we'll be able to see hatchlings, as we did in 2010!

I've seen it too, ycd! Don't know what it would be for. They have a sister cam facing the opposite direction, and that cam doesn't reveal any clues, either!

Hey, we are moving again!
Is that Venus I can see in Milos ?
Definitely not a ship as I can see the horizon.

Sandi, that might just be Venus in the Milos cam! It sure ain't Santa Claus!(Rudolph's nose would make the dot look red!)

Good catch!

Some folks are having a little get together on the beach; hope the tent is secured well!

Cloudy everywhere else, and here as well! No rain here, yet!

Staying over 4, easy work, though! I may pop in to check on stuff before I go home!

Clouds are finally breaking around the Tetons; looks nice!

Good morning Ylee. Overcast with a chance of rain later. Guess the lawn is not going to get cut today. We need some sunshine to dry us up some. A little breeze but not enough to really do much good at the moment. Cooler today too, temps will run in the high 60s.

Just looking out my window here, I see my roses are budded already and its loaded. Should be real pretty in a few weeks.

Have a great day dear one. Try to get some rest.

No babies yet? Mommy must be tired just sitting there for so long. I see that the little car moved out of the 'driveway' in the Garda photo, about time it went somewhere. LOL

I hope that all is well with you. If your day is as warm and as sunny as ours, you must be enjoying a beautiful day. Take care.

Brr, it is cold in Norway, cloudy in Nepal, there's a boat coming in to the harbour in Adelaide and someone is having a barbecue in Mille Lac!!

Hi Ylee:)

EDIT - it is now dark in MILOS and the light in the sky is there again - so it can't be a plane, as I thought maybe it was yesterday!

Good evening! Last night about 2AM we had a big lightning storm with lot of rain! Got over an inch inless than two hours! Today was warm and muggy, with a lot of sunshine!

Cams look good, with a BIG full moon setting over Milos!

Hi, Alley! I had thought about mowing at home today, but the grass was too wet, as well!

Hi, Pros! Expect a few more weeks before you see babies at the Osprey nest! The sides of the nest are pretty tall!

If I hadn't heard someone say the name of the Derby winner earlier tonight, I'd have no idea what you were talking about in #59! :) I'm not too enthusiastic about the Derby anymore!

Hi, Sandi! You're probably asleep at the moment; a shame, because there's a fantastic moonset in progress at Milos!

I saw photos of the moon on the TV news ... apparently it was a very large moon, called a 'super moon', and was full at 4.35, so yes, I was still asleep, but if I had been awake I would be unable to see it for the wall to wall grey cloud covering!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I have a wall-to-wall covering of machinery and conduit and stuff here; I can't see any moon either!

Very nice morning at Milos; Garda has some low clouds, hope it doesn't impede traffic!

Good morning Ylee. Another cool start to the day but it may be warmer outside than it is in here. Had to break down and turn the furnace on for a turn or two to take the dampness off. The old bones were just too sore and I certainly don't want to spend the day working a charlie horse out of my leg if I can help it. BTW, too much cloud here to be able to see the moon last night but you could see its glow through the cloud as it did its thing....

Old MS Possum was back this morning when I went to put food out for Smudgie. As soon as I opened the door, off she waddled while Smudgie did her "hungry dance" waiting for me to put the food down at 4 AM. At least I get to go back to bed after. Now I need coffee lots of it to get my engine started....LOL I feel like a little old '48 couple that needs a complete overhall.

Well dear one, have a great Sunday. Hope you get some much needed rest.

I'm back, and more than ready for a break! Been on my feet for about four hours' straight, and I'll tell you, my dogs are barking! Woof! :)

Anyway, I awoke to a loud BOOM outside about 4PM, followed by a heavy downpour and light hail! Checked my NOAA radio, which said that Owensboro was partly sunny! No warnings of any kind! I looked out the window, and we were still getting pea-sized hail, and it continued to do so for about five more minutes, all the while it continued to rain heavily! The rain finally stopped after a half hour; we received about 3/4" of rain.

I missed the moon on the Garda cam; it should have appeared in the upper right hand corner of the cam image.

Good evening, Tony! We've had a couple of grandnephews over off and on over the past few weeks of toddler age! The little one can keep you hopping at times, don't they? :)

Hi, Alley! The neighborhood critters know where to find a good meal, don't they? My aunt's like that too, only she gets raccoons, too!

Hi, Pros! Hope your Sunday has been a good one!

The glow was there and I thought I saw a reflection on the garda cam. Hope work calms down a little for you tonight. So far it sounds pretty busy. So, anyhooo have a good night--over and out, but sort of liked the Boynton Beach Cam staying on sunshine beach scene all day!

People are going to work on the Garda cam! Glad that the cam is working, at least for now. It sure is a pretty spot. I'll wait for a few seconds to see if anything goes through the Outer Harbor.

I just read your comment above, darn it, I missed the moon at Garda. Maybe some other night. I guess you better rest those feet if you can. Happy rest of the working night.

Well! The rest of the night shift has made an appearance! All we need is Trauma, lol!

Good deal, Sandi! Glad someone got a photo of the "Super Moon"!

Pros, there's always tomorrow night! The moon should be nearly full, as long as the sun doesn't come up before the moon gets to that point in the sky!

I'll try to rest my feet, as long as you try to get some rest, too! :)

Good morning Ylee...Hi Sandi...yup I am up for the day. Been awake since 3..my bad. Fell asleep reading last night around 7 PM so I have had a great rest but what an ungodly hour to be up...LOL

I see folks along the beach rocks on Milos this morning. Everything else seems quiet. Ah I see it has now reached 4 AM. Time to put out some food for Ms Smudgie. Did not see the 'possum when I looked earlier. Maybe she has already been here and raided the kibble dish...

Anyway, have a great finish to your shift. Get some good rest later and yes it sure does help to be able to put your feet up for a bit.

Sandi, sorry to hear about the knee; must be all that cold and wet weather you're having! :(

Thanks for the explanation on snoggle! When you gave me those references, the subjects I found were mostly nekkid so I thought snogging was cavorting about in the nude!LOL!

Alley, at least you got eight hours sleep! :) Missed the people on Milos; they'll be more common as summer approaches!

Yes, it's always good to put one's feet up and grab a quick nap, especially on a night shift! :)

Seven Days!? 100hours? We so need you to come to our plant and take all the OT for the month of June.

Missed the super moon both nights. Saturday was SIL B'Day and she choose a pretty decent restaurant (food wise) in a questionable neighborhood.
I had never been in a place so loud that did not have a DJ playing House music.

There were two, count 'em two mariachi bands, horns, guitars, violins, roaming the restaurant. Lot's of hooting and impromtu dance. Shouted conversation. Was really quite a scene.

Yesterday was a send off for a friends mom going back home to Romania. Good Food!

The moon did occaisionally peak through the clouds on the way home.

Good evening! It's been raining lightly fo the last few hours; don't know if we're going to get anything heavier yet!

People are just insane here, like as in having absolutely no sense whatsoever! Half the work I did was for naught, as we have to redo some stuff that should have been caught before last night! Aargh! :P

Hopefully, I'll be able to see "Moon over Garda" tonight! I think that would be cool!

GG, the resturant sounds like a blast! Glad you had fun there! At the moment, I'm not ready to tackle anyone else's OT, lol!

Hope there aren't any bad storms your way tonight!

I vote that we need a cam on YOU! (wait--hmmm I may re-phrase this)
But, lately you have a lot of 'weather' so we should have one from by your neck of the woods to see your wx :)

Ok I'm brain dead after 2 1/2 hour presentation appt. We are all working a lot lately, sheesh.
Have a good shift!

Wait, jus; have you been talking to my wife? LOL! Please, no Ylee cams! :)

The only good cam here is one I can't access except upstairs; that's the OMHS hospital construction cam, in Owensboro! My dream is to have a cam on the back of the family farm, that overlooks a small valley! If I get rich someday(yeah, right, lol!), I'd like to build a modest log cabin up there!

I'm looking forward to Wednesday morning when I get off work, so I'll have 48 hours of R&R! Maybe. Maybe not. Lots of work to do around the house, too! ;-)

You get some rest tonight!

Well, WU hiccuped during upload a couple of times and then it took over 3 hours to get it approved, but here's a nice shot of the moon over Paganella, IT. It looked more like a semi-foggy day than the middle of the night.

Stay safe and awake.

Ylee: Milos was especially clear earlier so I went to get the iPod out of the truck. By the time I got the updated image it was darker but I can zoom in any image on the iPod. The boat at anchor is a "Motor Sailor" (sail/motor boat hull and small sail capacity with an engine and prop as main propulsion) and too spiffy for a work boat. Could be for tourists' charter but I'm guessing: private yacht.
Missed the deer on Olden but I believe you.

Evening, Ylee - that's one fine boat at Milos. Cool that ycd can zoom the image. I went to the full size - is there any way to zoom on a pc or is that just for the gadget-savvy?

It's a beautiful morning there - or whatever. I didn't check the update time. ;)

I saved the pic at Olden with the deer on it to the computer; I'll upload it here as a portrait so I can share it here!

I'll be safe, GG, but if circumstances allow it, I'll take a 20-30 minute power nap! Management doesn't mind, unless you overdo it and not do any work! :)

ycd, cool that you can blow up the image with the ipod! I still think the ship in the image is a charter, though! I believe most of the homes in that part of Pollonia are rentals!

Shore, Opera has a slider in the lower right corner of the browser that enlarges the web pages up to 300%, I believe!

Morning to you all - Great day in Milos - I am packing my bag!

Linda - To enlarge the image on your screen press control and the plus sign at the same time - each press will zoom the image. To reverse the action it is control and minus.

But here is the boat for you,(or it will be when WU gets it act together - issues with the photo side now!)

To me it looks like a yacht ??

Yes, I blew it up - so to speak... so Linda can see it, but I still await WU to get it approved! We are certainly second class citizens on this side of the Pond. In the good old days when WU had European approvers (like yours truly), we didn't have to wait for the US approvers to wake up to deal with the photos!!
