There is a strong cold front approaching from our west later this morning. Once this passes, the winds are going to get quite strong. I see 50 MPH gusts as the strongest it shall get. Prepare for a windy day today. Wind gusts should go away as tonight comes in. I have been in stronger winds before but 50 MPH is strong. It is like crusing speed on a highway. Speaking of, anyone driving a profile vehicle should be careful when encountering crosswinds like that. Temps should be in the 70's today and tonight will be around 50. it shouldn't be all that bad even with 50 MPH wind gusts. if it were winter, then yes it would be bad because it would be freezing. Now since I live in a 7 floor apartment and I live on the 5th floor, I will probally be hearing the gusting winds blow across the roof. I might update as today goes but depending if the forcast is still true with the 50 MPH gusts.

Just went through a heavy thunderstorm that produced very heavy rain but it didn't last that long. I didn't tape it due to the lightning being so far away. There was a light rumble of thunder but that was about it. By the way, this was produced by the actual cold front that will move through our area tonight. Don't think there will be any more in a way of major activity but anything else should be a basic rain shower and still perhaps a light thundershower but don't...

Danny is currently a tropical storm and is expected to become a hurricane in the next 36 hours according to the hurricane tracking map. Anyways, when I do videos, I may upload them to youtube.com (only if theres lightning and or thunder). This weekend looks to be a wet weekend due to a stalled out front. This front will keep Danny from hitting us directly. Ocean City will probally be effected by some effects of the hurricane when it nears the eastern seaboard. Anywa...

Severe thunderstorm watch issued for our county area until 9 P.M. Weather seems to be on track for likely thunderstorms and rain.

Looks like todays weather to be very similiar to yesterdays weather due to a cold front thats still far to our west. With the afternoon heating, expect showers and thunderstorms to develop. Some storms may reach severe levels, just like yestersday when I experienced small hail from the developing storm (1 of the 3 storms in the whole cluster). I love to videotape thunderstorms in my car. I have been doing so for years and I enjoy it. I also want to be a storm spotter but didn't sign up yet. |
