Yellow flies and Sea turtles

My previous blog was definately outdated. I figure it's time to replace the "forecast of snow" as well as the Easter/Mother's Day greetings. I had managed to upload a few "spring has sprung" photos, but my "blog" has moved straight from winter to summer.
Well, technically May is still spring and is supposedly the month of "May flowers" but around here the flowers are in April, and May is the month that teases of summer. Two of the random things that come to my mind for the month are yellow flies & sea turtles.
Yellow flies - Actually everyone calls them Mayflies. I just searched a bit, and I think what we have here are really yellow flies, also known as deer flies. OUCH!! Those thing hurt - and make it terrible to be ouside right now.
Lol, I found some links and pictures but I'm feeling "too much info" right now. Not really wanted to dwell on these pests at the moment. I'll let you know when this "season" passes.
Sea Turtles - I'm not sure why May causes me to think about the sea turtle population. The hatchings are in July and August. The nests are laid in May, so I guess my mode is "anticipation."
Definately more fun to watch than yellow flies!
Here's a link to SC nests
The site lists 84 identified nests presently (5/18/11)
You can view a particular beach, or view past years.
